Creating Experiences That Help Relationships Thrive

The Power of Sowing and the Principle of Reaping

Today, I’m sharing via video because I want to share a story with you. A few years ago, I had almost given up hope on black marriages. I witnessed two family members go through tragic divorces and I had a question:

Can black families live happily ever after?

The Lord answered that question in an awesome way! Check out the video to hear that story.

From this experience, I’ve seen the power in sowing and the principle in reaping come to life. But, this is not a prosperity message. We cannot force God’s hand or try to do things for selfish gain.

God blesses what we give with a pure heart.
And He uses us to bless others.

Whether it’s picking up the tab for a stranger at Starbucks, giving a Mom in your neighborhood a couple hours to herself, or visiting the sick…use the power of your gifts to bless people.

Just wanted to encourage you to be intentional in sowing love into the lives of others, because God wants to bless you wildly. Love, Simone

How have you seen the principle of giving active in your own life? What are your thoughts on sowing and reaping?

I enjoyed this vlog. I DEFINITELY believe in this principle. A generous soul will be blessed and there is no doubt that we reap what we sow. Anytime I bless somebody, I claim my blessing because what we make happen for the Kingdom, God will make happen for us.

Amen to that, Quanie! So glad you agree. I was a little worried about sharing this principle, because it can get soooooo twisted.
But you hit the nail on the head…”a generous soul will be blessed.” And God WANTS to make things happen for us beyond our wildest imagination!

Isn’t our Papa so good like that?! Just when we get down on ourselves He picks us up.

Nicole, personally, I think prayer is THE most important way we can sow into the lives of others. There are just so many attacks and darts being thrown at families and relationships. And, please know that I’m praying for you and the future husband God has for you! For real.

A few years ago, a friend told me how she prayed for her husband before she met him. She prayed for his 1)provision, 2)protection and 3) his safe passage. So, I adopted that strategy and starting praying that way for my friends that want to get married. I just know that God has the perfect man for you and he is all kinds of awesomeness.

Thanks for stopping by! And, yes, I’ll try to do more videos! Deep down, I think of myself as more of a writer…so I struggle with multi-media:-).

Wow tx so much Simone! This season has been difficult waiting on His best for a variety of reasons. Overall God is showing me how unhealthy I have been as a single. I know He us giving me TIME to heal and grow in my weak areas. It is just a greater level of patience and faith He is calling me to. I know to receive God’s best I must first BE the best. Tx again!!

No! Thank YOU! One of the things I love about your blog and reading your book is that you are so transparent about your struggles while you are going through and I just know it is a source of encouragement for others. I didn’t really start opening up about my struggles until much later. But you are so right He uses this TIME to grow us in our weak areas.
